Newt goes on the offensive after CNN’s John King brings up the “open marriage” controversy: After John King opened the debate with the mention of his ex-wife’s upcoming interview, King asked Gingrich, “Would you like to take some time to respond to that?”. Newt: “No, but I will.”
Gingrich called the “elite media” destructive, calling CNN’s decision to bring up the controversy “trash.” He added, ”I’m appalled you would begin a presidential debate like that.” Based on the audience’s roaring applause throughout Gingrich’s criticism of CNN and the mainstream media, I’m guessing they couldn’t agree more.
Presidents also need to have certain qualities like honesty, commitment, and integrity.
Newt, you had an affair, then wanted an open marriage. When that didn’t happen, you divorced your wife when she had cancer.
